What is ICTI?

ICTI is short for International Toy Industry Association. Founded in 1974, it includes toy trade associations in 20 countries and regions: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, China, Hungary, Italy, Russia, Spain, Sweden, The United Kingdom and the United States. One of ICTI's requirements is to ensure that toys are produced in a safe and humane environment. In order to achieve this goal, the association has developed a set of simple, effective and humanized audit standards, business code of conduct and audit agreement for the factory. Following the successful completion of the ICTI system audit, the factory will be issued with an ICTI System certificate to demonstrate compliance with the terms of the Code.

ICTI's primary focus is on China, where 80 per cent of toys are sold in the West.

How to obtain ICTI system certificate?

At present, only factories in China need ICTI system. This certificate will be awarded to a factory that, after an Intertek audit, can demonstrate compliance with ICTI's Code of Business Conduct. ICTI's monitoring checklist, guidance document and "Code of Business Conduct" can be downloaded from the following ICTI website: http://www.toy-icti.org.

Support for THE ICTI system: Some US toy companies have committed to "date confirmation", after which they will only accept toys/products from factories that have gone through the ICTI system.

Second, "four" -- regardless of gender, race, religion, social affiliation;

Third, the factory complies with environmental laws and regulations.
