The social responsibility standard (SA) 8000 is the world's first international standard for workplace environmental issues. The standard requires employers to pay employees enough wages to meet the basic needs of life, to provide a safe work environment, don't employ child labor force, and shall not force the employees to work more than 48 hours a week. There are other SA8000 standards for health, social freedom, discrimination, discipline practice and management.
