Implement certification
After the printing enterprise confirms the necessary preparations for certification, it can start the G7 certification process. The entire certification process must be guided and reviewed by a G7 certification expert on-site. The certification process requires two rounds of testing document printing, with a minimum of three hours required for each round, and one hour in between for the production and loading of the CTP system RIP calibration curve.
G7 certification knowledge training
G7 experts provide in-depth training on G7 certification knowledge, interpretation of G7 calibration methods, and use of certification tools to relevant personnel in printing enterprises, enabling printing enterprise employees to understand the entire certification process, understand the key links of certification, and have a preliminary understanding of G7 calibration methods.
First round of linear printing
In the original state of CTP without loading any curves, linearly output the G7 certification dedicated test version, record the layout node information, in order to better control the plate making process in the future;
Using this test plate for machine printing, the printing state must be adjusted to a stable state that meets the requirements. Use a spectrophotometer to find the optimal field density of the printing machine, and after the printing is stable, select several printing samples according to sampling rules.
CTP compensation correction
By measuring and extracting specific elements on the printing sample layout, necessary information is obtained. The correction results of CMYK are processed using Curve2 software, assigning new target values to RIP, and completing CTP correction.
Second round of certification printing
The CTP system loads the calibration curve made above and prints it with the best density for the first time. To ensure that the two printing states are as consistent as possible, the two printing rounds are completed by the same crew on the same day on the same machine, while keeping the various settings of the printing machine unchanged. Sample according to rules in a stable printing state and submit the sample to the on-site G7 certification expert.
Hong Kong APTEC Institution Audit and Certification
The G7 certification expert will make an on-site evaluation based on the second round of printing samples. If the on-site evaluation is successful, the G7 expert will submit the two selected samples to the certification agency for final evaluation, with a period of about 14 working days. If passed, the printing enterprise will receive the G7 certification certificate and logo issued by the G7 certification agency, and the enterprise information will also be included in the G7 certification database on the website for query.
Maintenance of G7 certification system
This is the most important part. The G7 certification is valid for one year, and in order to maintain it, one must pass an annual review. So obtaining G7 certification is not the end point. The ultimate goal of G7 certification is to achieve data-driven, standardized, and standardized production, maintaining a long-term, stable, and repeatable printing state.
